The Dancer’s feet propelled him gently across the floor as if his legs were sails catching the wind across the water. The Dancer’s feat was to perform the never-tried-before. Succeed or fail, yes or no, this or that, one or the other.
No lay-about, this one. He’d spent countless hours training, honing, and sculpting his body – his muscles, his mind, his intellect, his capacity to perform, and his creativity to conceive the very performance about to transpire.
Why would such a Dancer anticipate that he could perform the never-tried-before?
- There might be some personal benefit to its accomplishment.
- There may some implicit or inferred benefit, even if the benefit cannot be readily identified.
- The random could bring security and grace to us all.
