Our Story So Far
Posted in Uncategorized on August 1, 2012
“This is a work of fiction. I have tried to invent a story which may seem a possible, or at least not wholly impossible, account of the future of man; and I have tried to make that story relevant to the change that is taking place today in man’s outlook.”
Preface to his novel Star Maker, by Olaf Stapleton, July 1930.

This is an idea of ideas, a network of natural origins; a shape crawling up the primordial shore, out of one world into another, sort of like Stapleton’s was.

How fragile is the silence!

(Some ideas)
Those who war
There are those who war against Other men, and there are those who war against Circumstance. Both know the joy of triumph, with arms raised in rejoice. The One is pleased with completed Construction. The Other is beyond ecstasy, having survived and vanquished the prostrate and defeated foe. The One is spiritually drained in frustrated despair. The Other is crushed beneath the boot of invasion. Both know challenge and determination as tools of creation. In ruin new arises.
Sometimes the one can be the victim of the other.
Sometimes the two can destroy each other.
And yet sometimes they can all live in the same gravity.
If only we could choose our destiny!
Which would we choose?
